The Asia-Pacific region is projected to be the fastest growing region for condom sales in terms of both volume and value. The compounded annual growth for Asia between 2007 and 2015 is projected to be more than 6 percent. which more higher rate than American and European region.
Many Malaysia and Thailand condom manufactures are not aggressively trying to expand their operations globally and instead focusing on their domestic condom markets. This could make it easier for Karex to launch its ambitious global expansion plan.
At the same time, some of the largest global condom companies, such as Australia’s brand Ansell and Durex, prefer to outsource the condom production to companies like Karex, which produces condoms for many name brands.
